(10/02/2013) Forgiveness

I do not want forgiveness
For bad things I have done
As few as they may be
I know that I had fun.
I do not want forgiveness
From those who I have hurt
I know that had I not
The pain would be much worse.
I do not want forgiveness
For the lies that I have told
Or the secrets that I will keep
Until I am grey and old.
I only want forgiveness
For the chances I did not take
For the fear I held within myself
Had I ever made mistakes.
