(16/02/2013) Respect the Dead

The tolling of the bell
Tells us a life has ended
Whether they an enemy
Or one you had befriended.
Do not speak ill of the dead
For although they cannot hear
They are still loved by someone
Who one day held them near.
Respect those who’ve passed away
Like you respect a lover
Because without respect for your kin
What else have we for each other?
